Hartnell General lies in the Pacheco district of Night City Core, just beyond the glittering towers of the central district and has the main emergency room for the Core Precinct as well as modern facilities for all kinds of treatment, surgeries, maternity and even simple augmentation work. It is there that many Core denizens without the corporate sponsorship needed to get into City General nowadays will go to get treatment. Hartnell is endowed by a charitable trust set up by Bill Hartnell, the famous doctor and medical philanthropist who was instrumental in fighting the plagues released by the Collapse.
